Charlotte Rhead Crown Ducal Vase – Unrecorded Pattern
A Charlotte Rhead for Crown Ducal vase in an unknown and unrecorded pattern, dating from the mid to late 1930s. It features a tube-lined design of alternating panels containing diamond checks enamelled in red & green and a celtic-style loop in green, on a buff ground, with pale green borders. Facsimile Rhead signature to the reverse side, along with the decorator’s mark of Fanny Morrey, shape number (146) and the Crown Ducal stamp. It is presumably a trial of some sort, and one that never went into production.
The vase stands approx. 22.5cm tall.
Good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
